| Cynthia
A. Dawley was born in New Jersey in 1964. Growing up surrounded by the
works of her father, world-renowned artist Joseph Dawley, it would seem
that becoming an artist would be inevitable. Working solely in oils in the impressionistic style, Cynthia has exhibited her works through galleries nationally, and is included in numerous private collections. Her works have also been used on the corporate level by such companies as Cartier jewelers, Colavita, and the HBO series The Sopranos. Cynthia's use of color and light reflect the artist's ability to capture a feeling and transer it to canvas. Her paintings show a large diversity in subject matter, from the cityscapes of NYC, to the beaches of Monterey, and even the international flavors of such places a Sweden and Italy. From the seascapes of coastal New England, to the commonplace beauty of of the small towns of the Northeast, Cynthia maintains a strong affinity for the East Coast. Recently she has had numerous commissions by those wanting their own properties captured in oil. Currently Cynthia is working on several philanthropic projects on both the local and national levels. She is a member of the American Academy of Women Artists, National Women's Csucus for Art, and The American Society of Classical Realism. She currently resides in her life-long hometown of Cranford, New Jersey with her husband and two children. For more information on Cynthia A. Dawley, please visit her website at www.CADawley.com |
