Mr.
Gibbons is an accomplished artist, composer, poet, and author who studied
painting, drawing, calligraphy, and ceramics in Osaka Japan. He was
featured in many exhibitions in the Osaka and Kyoto area. While living
in Egypt, Mr. Gibbons honed his own style and painting and was exhibited
throughout the country, most notably at the American Concillate in Alexandria.
His work has been exhibited in galleries in Soho NY, public spaces in
Manhattan and city community centers. Since 2002 his work has been,
and continues to be featured in International Exhibitions of Art in
Los Angeles, New York City, Provincetown MA, Phoenix Arisona and Paris
France. His work was selected by the Carnegie Museum of History for
a Public Work in Pittsburg celebrating their Hispanic community. He
was a participant in the World Trade Center 9-11 Memorial Competition
as well as New Jersey's. He is the winner of a Geraldine R. Dodge Scholarship
for Figure Studies in Fine Art.
His work can be found in both public and private collections, included
in such places as the Guggenheim Museum, New York's Museum of Modern
Art, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Jue do Paume of Paris and
many more. He is proficient in nearly all media Including Photography,
Oils, Acrylics, Sculpture, and all drawing media and is considered an
Origami Master of 30+ years.
